Do you mean a spin turn knob? I have one...it's just looks cool, that's about it. Worth it? for shits and giggles.

RE Amemiya ball joints? or tie rod ends?

ImpactBlue, the detailed setup of you car can be vastly different from setup of another car. It should be cornerweighted, which will help you set up the sway bars properly.

Now for setting up coilovers I reccommend 8/8 all around, unless this is going to be strictly a drift car, or you live where the roads are very nice. As for a brand, I recommend Silk Roads. BTW springs are not to expesnsive so you could always have a few different rates, that what I had. Best way to set the spring load (if not corner weighting) is to where you can just move the spring on the coilover.

As for other parts, do not get the RE tie rod ends, they are over priced. Either get SuperNow!'s (only available through me) which also come with a spacer for more steering angle, or I sell just the spacer if you want to use your OEM tie rods. Uras is the only aftermarket ball joints I know of, (which again are available through me). I do not know of anyone making subframe spacers. The DTSS they are pretty much allt he same it just depneds if you want to run solid steel or plastic. I would also consider a rear adjustable sublink (camber link), if your engine is out or if you have the time, place a oil baffle plate in there to stop oil starvation under g's. Mostly importantly is replace anything that is borken or worn, big hint here is get a poly bushing kit.

If you have anyother questions feel free to email me at sikokillr@aol.com and if you are interested in any of the parts I make check out my website www.secretelement.ex-ml.com (its still under consturction).

Some good replies, thanks!

mazdatrix is now making some "drift specific" parts, which I am looking at investing in.

LOL! All they did was list a few parts from other places on there webpage.

If the "drift specfic" parts you are refurring to are the Super Angle kits, they sell GP Sports, which are rebadged SuperNow! street kits, and orange instead of blue. Other than that like I said above there is nothing special they have in ther "drift specific" section https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

From their website:

"NOTE: You may need low offset wheels or spacers for stock wheels to prevent the wheel from hitting the sway bar, frame, etc.... Thats how much steering angle you can get!"

If you are running wider tires and wheels that stock, yes you may need spacers. I have imported abput 12 sets this last year (Tony Angelo has a sent on his FC and will soon on his FD), and I have not heard a complaint about rubbing, I have personally installed 2 sets, rub free. OH, and the steering angle you gain is 7 degrees. AND what they leave out that is important is you maybe required to cut your OE tie rods up to 1cm, on account of the spacer for the rack.

BTW here is the breakdown of pricing for the SuperNow! Kits.

Street/track Kits:

FC3S $265

FD3S $288

S13 $205

S14 $265

JZA70 $288

JZA80 $288

Racing Versions available for the FC and FD at approx $50 more.

All prices include shipping and insurance to the USA, recieved in 10-14days.

Any questions about the kit please feel free to ask, I will gladly answer them!

Rotaman X, what kind of DTSS bushing you get?

Rotaman X 02-23-2005 06:02 AM

it just says toe control stoppers and the rest is in japanese...havent installed it yet...its these solid metal bushes with washers etc

About the super now kits

any distributors in Australia?

Impact Blue 02-23-2005 09:56 AM

^eyecandy: why would they rebadge them as a Supernow! product? or do you mean that Supernow! actually produces the part for GP Sports? (like most suspension companies that get their product made from one or few companies with their presets.) I'd buy which ever was cheaper, if they are the same, I guess.
