FUN! 600cc, 480lbs (w/o driver). 1/2 turn lock-to-lock, launch control, pneumatic shifter.
Actually it's kind of a handful. Even though it has a 20mm restictor you can still break the tires loose in 3rd. And it was designed with lower speed courses in mind, so going 60+ it's a little twitchy. We just put softer spring on the rear to balance it out a little better. Hopefully we can do some more testing this weekend.

We had some university guys out with one of those testing it out at our Autcoross. They were clueless. My brother was looking their car over. It had a lot of positive camber even with a driver init. My brother suggested taking the camber to the negative. They had no clue what he was talking about.

Yeah it's real eye opener when you get to the big Formula SAE competition in Detroit. Some teams really have their act together and are very professional and well informed... some teams are scary.

trust me we know what neg camber is.
We have 50/50 weight distribution and neutral handling, unlike most other SAE cars that suffer from chronic understeer and we use parallel steering geometry. Can't wait until i figure out the new ackerman steering for it this year

What does your bare frame weigh, and what is it's torsional stiffness. I can almost guarantee you though that yours is not as stiff as ours, just by looking at your picture.
Ackerman makes a huge difference in these cars... but don't expect me to tell you how much we're running.
Is that little radiator all you have?! We might have a larger capacity system than most because of the Texas summers (100+ degrees F). I've measured track surface temperatures with our tire pyrometer at 140 degrees before.
Good looking car though. I like your nose.
