axle hop got the best of me last time out (see the etown thread), so i tried new launch techniques. more slipping of the clutch.
the 5th pass of the day was the magic number i was looking for. i lowered the launch RPM and slipped the clutch and bogged. it was the only time that day i bogged, but the car liked it better than the small axle hop i was getting in other runs; 1.578 60ft. I powershifted each gear and was shocked to see the 127 mph. then i got booted off the track for no rollbar. not bad for 398 hp.

i think with bias ply ET streets (instead of the ET street radials i used), i could get better short time with more aggressive launch, but that is just bench racing. not really concerned with it because I'm into road racing and AX. but nice to know its a 10 second ride

Congrats!I hate when ppl put pistons in something as unique as the rx7.It totaly defeats the purpose of owning one. It's your own car so do whatever it's still nice just not as nice as it would of been.
haha, thanks for the left handed compliment i don't car about being unique; i want reliable kickass car that can do it all (street, drag, autocross, road course). i bought this already converted, so since i had ls1 for 6 years prior, there was no issue of me having to learn about a new type of engine. slam dunk
