axle hop got the best of me last time out (see the etown thread), so i tried new launch techniques. more slipping of the clutch.

the 5th pass of the day was the magic number i was looking for. i lowered the launch RPM and slipped the clutch and bogged. it was the only time that day i bogged, but the car liked it better than the small axle hop i was getting in other runs; 1.578 60ft. I powershifted each gear and was shocked to see the 127 mph. then i got booted off the track for no rollbar. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif not bad for 398 hp.

i think with bias ply ET streets (instead of the ET street radials i used), i could get better short time with more aggressive launch, but that is just bench racing. not really concerned with it because I'm into road racing and AX. but nice to know its a 10 second ride https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

Congrats!I hate when ppl put pistons in something as unique as the rx7.It totaly defeats the purpose of owning one. It's your own car so do whatever it's still nice just not as nice as it would of been.

haha, thanks for the left handed compliment https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif i don't car about being unique; i want reliable kickass car that can do it all (street, drag, autocross, road course). https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif i bought this already converted, so since i had ls1 for 6 years prior, there was no issue of me having to learn about a new type of engine. slam dunk https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

If you haven't noticed this site is called NOPISTONS.COM. Could a Mod please shut this down and get this clown out of here? Before this turns into something like the other forum where they allow clowns like this. Who gives a rats ass about a V8 rx7 around here take your **** somewhere else. Like torquecentral where someone actually cares. Personnally for as much money as you have spent on that setup those times don't impress me.

2MCHPWR 12-29-2005 09:12 PM

ah ok. yeah sure.

never thought of it that way but he has to do something wrong and as of yet he hasn't. he bought a prebuilt V8 car and has had very good luck with it....hell even i am jealous i spent 2 years building my FD and the fastest i could go was 12.0 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Hell no I don't catch **** for putting a rotary in a Datsun not on this site! This is not a RX7 site unlike the other forum it is a rotary site remember the name NOPISTONS. Hey I like the idea of an LS1 FD that heavy pig needs something like that to push it around but I don't need to see this **** on this site. RussellTT94 you can eat a bowl of dick I could care less about your comments I love this site because it is truly loyal to the rotary engine not just a RX7. Too much power please you don't you what too much power is until you have 600 horses pushing 1700lbs! LAST POST ON THIS THREAD!

My car weighs 15 lbs more than a stock R1 FD, yet has better front/rear weight distribution:

stock R1 53% front/ 47% rear

my FD 50.5% front/ 49.5% rear

For the 6 months I've been on this site, I've made friends due directly to this site, that I see face to face at the tracks, and intend to continue those relationships (Amp - i bought his rollbar, 1Reven7 - my road course apprentice, Kahren - his friend bought my seat, etc) as well as meet a few more guys at the road course events in 2006 (vosko, prew, etc).

I've provided technical posts about the FD that benefits all owners here, much like I'm sure you do as well. And this site is a great learning tool. No need for any animosity, although it does add humor. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

[i] https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png wow scott i never thought i would see someone get so upset about your car.dont take it to heart it takes all kinds to make the world go around.its only one members opinion and you know what they say oponions are like assholes everyone has one.keep posting 2mchpwr you have helped myself and other members with usefull info. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif if you want ill give you a rotor from one of my old engines laying around the garage and you can but it in your car, mabe itll keep some crybabies of your back lol

FikseRxSeven 12-30-2005 07:13 PM

spaceman Spiff 01-06-2006 01:24 AM

2MCHPWR 01-06-2006 07:20 AM
