I was running a practice day w/ the SCCA last weekend. It was a very difficult course. Very tight first gear turns with a long straight that let you top out second almost needed 3rd. Lots of shifting lots of really tight turns w/ no room for error.

I was having a hell of a time getting my car to rotate. I usually run 29 PSI in the front and 32 in the rear. After my friend added some pressure to his rear tires on his Turbo MR-2 I decided to do the same.

That simple move increasing my rear tire pressure to 35 PSI made the car rotate so much better. It allowed me to trim another full second off of my best time. I had hit a wall and could not better my time only match it over and over.

Some food for though...

BTW - I am also finding that running w/o a boost controler has made the car much easier to handle coming out of turns. If your running one try running w/o the boost control. My boost comes on at about 6-7 PSI and tops at 10 PSI.

A lot less time was wasted trying to keep the *** end where it belonged.
