that's my whole point.... the 20B is banned in all motor NHRA because there isn't an all motor 4 cylinder that can run 10.30's. I don't know if any 4 cylinder has ever run that fast NA?? Anyway, I guess I can understand putting the 20B in a 6cyl all motor class but it would likely clean up there too.

Come on guys! Stop trying to use that weak *** cubic inch/liter argument because everybody knows that a 13b equates to 2.6 liters 4 cylinder when compared to a piston engine and the 20b is comparable to a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder. There are already lots of of NA 4 cylinders that are running sub 10.50 but they are also using 2.5~2.7 liter engines that have been bored and stroked to the max!!

I wonder if a 13B or 20B will break these landmarks (maybe this has already happened, I dont know). To me that would be a lot more impressive than a V8 powered car. The fastest times I've seen posted were from Siguel racing who ran 7.33@179 with a 20B and Abel Ibarra 7.58@180 with a 13B. Abel is kind of struggling this year but I think he should be able to hit 200 with the 20B in.

On a side note, Ari Yallon of Rotary Performance is no longer the king in street tire class. Now he has to find a way to run 9 flat to beat Mazurowski's Supra. B)
This big deal about this Celica is ****** dumb...

1 =Its powered by a Tundra V8...

2 =The only thing Çelica"on this car is the fiber glass,

3 =If I got a tube frame made to hold a First gen shell..and put a 787b style engine in it ..would they accept it?

They are already talking **** about the 20B that is being ran...

BTW this Celica is based 10 mins from me..in Land O Lakes FL

Celica
I agree.... I can't believe they're not going to allow (cant remember his ****** name) with the 20B naturally aspirated first gen to compete in the all motor class next year unless he goes down to a 13B yet they allow these V8's to compete and they have tube frame supra's competing with tube frame FWD 4 cylinders which isnt fair either...

I can't imagine what the 787B powerplant would do in a nice, light drag car with the proper gearing.
I agree with both of you thers is like ******* double standard when it comes to rotaries. Its not fair. I guess they fear the rotor. :smirk:

Just wanted to add:

Me and Igy were talking about making an SA (FB for you gringos) with a pp 20B yesterday! That's what I want if I ever go rotor motor! That or an RX3 with an FD 13B and a T04R.

This would be a sweet race only ride!!

Hey man, can you explain me how you get 2.6 instead the 1.3L that Mazda advertise?
