Crappy sound, I forgot the memory card for my Chase Cam setup so I used a DVR and camera setup thats just o.k.

This was in the parking lot of the Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale. There was a lot of elevation change on the property and there were dips... rises.. I am not sure what to call them, but, on my 1st run I charged at one way too fast and was airborn for a split second, enough to clobber some cones.

I am getting better with the car, pushing it harder but still not enough. Hopefully by the next event I will be pushing her more, I am only a tick off TTOD now with only a split second between us. Actually one of the runs I hit a cone, the one with the side mount camera, and that run, if clean would have won the X-Class I was running in.

Here is the 1st run and my shocking surprise that I could not go that fast over the humps.

Then I took the event coordinator in my car for a couple of runs, he drives a GT3 and wanted to get a look at the course, this, of course helped him to set TTOD. LOL!! All in good fun, he is a really cool guy.

Side cam, this was my fastest run and I cream a cone at the beginning. I scream in the car if I did not have this crappy sound it would have been funnier.

After I got home, I looked my my baby in the drive, she looked happy from the fun day. I snapped a pic of her because for whatever reason it looked really good at this angle.

Thought you would get a kick out of this, 4 slicks, floor jack, and other assorted tools including a jump box with air pump.

Thanks!

I have a couple of different camera layouts, this is a back up setup I am using a Archos DVR with a Viosport lipstick cam intended for Motorcycle use. Viosport offers suction cup mounts for cars and that is how I get the camera on the door.

I am running 10"x22-16 Slicks they are good for about 1.5 seconds on a 50 second course over the victoracers. I have tried victoracers (before the 710's came out) and the slicks just kill. So I stick with them.

WOW, GREAT vids man!

Two questions:

1 - Where did you learn to drive?

2 - What rims are those on your (on the hoosier tires)

1. Here:

(make sure you watch the video)

http://autocross.com/evolution/modules/news/

Seat time is the key in AX and the driver is 80% of the equation, I have seen a guy in a Honda Civic whip a guy in a Porsche GT3 all because its about the driver.

2. The rims were custom made for me 5 years ago the label on the rim says circle racing but IIRC the company that made them no longer carries them.

I am still struggling with my car, after a 2 year break it taking me a while to push it to its limits. I am getting closer but I still have a lot to do.

Keep your eye out for Ryan Dunn from Jackass he runs in the Central PA SCCA somewhere. Sometimes he brings out his 318i with a turbo M3 motor in it.
