1st Grand Prix of Bahrain

Ferrari 1st row: Michael & Rubens, Montoya & Button on row 2, Sato & Button on row 3, Webber on 7th row, Alonso on row 8, and Kimmi on row 10. Fast cars in the back!



Alonso loses part of nose on lap 1 & has to pit, & Kimmi makes it to 16th in 3 laps. However Schumacher is pulling 1sec per lap over Montoya in 3rd. Ralph tries to overtake Sato but there's no room & Ralph spins!



Kimmi's Mercedes/Ilmor engine explodes in a fiery ball in just 7 laps: Heads will ROLL!!! It's 3 DNF's in 3 races due to 2 engine failures, resulting in 0 points for Kimmi.



Then it's the Michael - Rubens - Montoya caravan in the front while the rest of the field fights for the scraps (points).



But wait, Montoya's engine loses power and drops to 5th in lap 48, is then pased by Sato & Alonso in lap 53, Ralph drops him in lap 56. David Coulthard DNF in lap 51.



So Michael Schummacher won (again), it's his 2nd time winning the 1st 3 races in a row, & seems to be destined to win another championship. Rubens was quite behind him for 2nd, Button on 3rd (again), Trulli 4th, Sato 5th, Alonso 6th, Ralph 7th, Webber 8th...& as for Montoya -he ends up the race in 13th, no points for him today, he parks the car just past the checkered flag & walks to the pits!



Due to Islamic law we did not have the usual champagne celebration but they sprayed each other with a fruit juice/rose water concoction. The King himself handed the overweight (by 1/10th kilo) trophies -which may be disqualified -joke!

Sato(Honda/Lucky Strike).......look out this cat is good!Now he needs a machine.And those renalts with the Ferrarri drive train are fast straight but thats it.
