with the greddy fmic my old intake didnt work and i was forced to move the filter for i think the secondary (whichever turbo is towards firewall) all the way to the elbow leaving it smushed between the UIM and the strut tower with no airflow.



i dont have the plastic mudguards anymroe in my front wheels so i figured that was my best source of air. i relocated the fan controls to the center side of the passenger headlight and opened up that area then chopped up some of my old greddy smic piping threw the k&n on and heres what i came up with

sorry the pic is from my phone my digital is outta batteries and i cant find the charger. i hate how my phone doesnt pick up reds, every outside pic of my car looks like a bad case of sun fade to orange

i dont crive it in the rain and avoid puddles at all costs but id assume i might have a problem with a huge puddle... id doubt much could get past the tire though

The fresher air is for certain...but it looks like your filters will be working overtime on all the **** the wheels are going to stir up.

Speaking of filters, MazdaMike, your phone has a crappy infrared filter or lens coating over the CCD. If you removed it, reds would be overpowering. Heh, it's just a cheap phone camera.
