Anyone know if a 3rd gen tranny will work with a 2nd gen? I know new tranny mounts would need to be made, but other than that?

not sure, I'm pretty sure the FD has a pull type pressure plate.. you'd have to change a bunch of stuff but you should be able to do it.

It's not worth the effort. Just use a TII transmission. They're perfectly fine.

TII and FD are basically same keep the TII tranny

2nd and 3rd gen tranny's are the same.... just change the bell housing

really? I would think the 3rd gen would be stronger. Oh well. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png How about the gears? Say i want to run 3rd gen gears, what all woudl i need? The thing is, i like the fact that a 3rd gen can top out at 160+ ... the TII can only top out around 140. I've been to 135 and now i want to go faster. I have the power to get there, just need different gears.
