I was up watchin some good 'ol infomercials last night and I saw this thing called "The Tornado". I'm sure some of you have seen it as well with the hickity hick banjo music playin in the background. Anyways, they were boasting of a 20 hp jump just by putting this metal cylinder either behind or in the middle of your air cleaner (depending on carb or fuel injected). Does this thing actually work? I doubt it would really get a 20hp boost, but does it get any off of it? They say that it funnels air into your intake quicker (with the power of a tornado... ) but I have my doubts.

If that worked and was really that simple then why wouldnt car manufacturers put that in the car to start with?
