Yah, Magnecor is pretty adamant about the "low resistance" wires. Before I read that I bought some MSD 'low resistance' wires. I wasn't there when they first went on, but the guys told me they could see arcing all around them. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png

um i got Magnecor R100s...what good are they then?
oh well they were free. |
I had Magnecor 10mm wires for 4 years with no problems ever. I don't expect plug wires to give me $200 worth of performance, so I bought $60 ones that were as thick as orange extension cords. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Don't beleive all the hype. I've used Magnecore and they lasted a week before they shorted from arching and blew out my distributor on my CRX. Maybe there more powerful but the didn't seal well. As far as the grounding ones, I haven't seen any real proof even though FEED sells them as well. The best comparison I saw had these in order of best to worst: Jacops, MSD, Taylor, ECCEL, NGK and stock (that's all they tested together).
I'm currently using MSD on my CRX (tight as a virgin) and VITEK on my RX7 (only because of heat sleeving). |
jacob wires suck..... i used to have them, they actually melted, the metal part that attatches to the coil, and so did the silicone surrounding it on 2 of the 4 wires
