i've been looking around and it looks like a pulley kit might be a way to gain a little speed on my 85, if such a thing for that car exists...i really don't know anything about them however, and do they really work? is it a good idea? *shrugs*

they do work, the power you get is not great, but they do work. Just be carefull of what you get. some pullys are so small that the alternator won't charge correctly.

They are barely noticable in the throttle but add that with a flywheel and get rid of your power steering and ac and now your talking.

my friend car idled better......i couldn't tell anything on the o'le butt dyno, but in conjuction with other stuff, it all adds up. plus you don't want to cavitate your water pump at higher RPM's.

How does the motor do after a run while idleing? Does the temp get hot at idle due to slower water pump?

You shouldn't have any problems.. If anything it'll give the water a little more hold time in the radiator which can actually help in some cases..

what about some pulleys to replace the PS pulley, the tension one next to the PS and the Main pulley. I want to find these in Aluminum are they available for a decent price in the US?

RE-Amemia is the only place I've seen that sells that set up as a kit and the only place I've seen that has the tension pully aluminum and annodized. all the other kits use the stock tension pully... So I'd say that would be a good Item to sell in your store... :bigthumg:
