I really wanted to build a NA engine, figured the bridgeport was the way to go, nothing against turbos or anything. but I found a bridgeported engine here locally, with the 3mm apex seals, but I'm still just a hair shy on the money dept. should have enough soon. she'll probably be on a stand for a while until I get the rest of the goodies but it'll all come in time.

why wouldnt you see much gains on a bridgeported 6port? I was thinking I should be able to pull about 30%... then with the other goodies, (fuel map, exhaust etc) I'd pull a little more. am I wrong? I guess theres more to gain with a turbo but, its a start.

what about those auxillary injectors?

well, time to quit yackin and get goin on the car, thanks for all your help so far, I'll come back if I think of any more questions.

How much power do you expect to get? I'm no expert but your looking at less than 200 whp. Without turbo's you will have a low torque car that won't be much bang for the buck. 3mm apex will be an overkill as well, they don't seal as well and cost alot. You may also look for some 9.7.1 rotors assuming the work with the 86 housings which are 9.4.1.

If you are set to an N/A bridgeport 2nd gen engine go for the 89-91 rotors (higher compression and lighter than the earlier ones) And If I remember correctly you should be able to use the TII steel plates and bridgeport them cuz I think that's a 4 port motor.......someone correct me if Im wrong. I would aim for that anyhow and add an aluminum flywheel and pulleys to make sure you have the lightest rotating assembly, if 3mm apex is not what you want then the atkins apex seals would be the next best thing and cheaper than milling the rotors...........just my 2 cents
