Is there any way to start a group buy on this sometime soon? I really want to get these fans, but I'd like to put them on the same time I change the radiator so I have less down time. If there won't be a GB anytime soon, is there any way I can get these within the next 2 weeks?

they definitely flow more than our stock fans here in the US.... hence the reason why they use it for stock S7 FDs in japan

My engine's out right now. What's the chance of getting this mod in two weeks?

You can order it anytime, but no group buy as of yet. Actually we just sold another set last night, I want to do the GB, but until the verdict comes in on the fans, I dont want to make a HUGE thing about it.

Mazda Engineers got together and figured out that the fans don't flow enough, and the fan motors draw too much current(25 amps). With the Spirit R, they redesigned the fans for 5 and 7 blades because they flow more air(mazda testing) and made the motors draw less current(17 amps). I'm not sure HOW much air flow they pull, but they figured it would be worth it to do.
This is sorta of the same in the FC. S5 fans have more blades than s4 fan.

Ok.. Here's some data:

If I start the car cold, and turn on the fans the car won't climb over 83C regardless of driving. I haven't gone bonkers yet, but spirited driving won't raise temps over 83.

If I start the car cold and let it warm up and drive it till the fans come on automatically (87) the temps drop nearly immediately to 84-85.

I have NO vented hood, and a huge heat producing single with a FMIC. If I leave the fans on after shutdown, the radiator is cool to the touch after ~2 minutes. They really move some air. I can let it idle with the hood closed all day and not worry about overheating.

I've managed to get the temps to 89 (unplugged fans) and as soon as I turned them on the temps were down to 84-85 in no time.

If I get the chance I'll stick the stockers back in and see what kind of difference there is. Can't promise when though... But I'll see what I can do.
