I'm rebuilding my engine for my 87 T2. Does anyone have any recommended modifications. Hopefully they will be inexpensive and for any part of the car, to increase handling and speed, cooling, and everything else.

I'm doing the rebuild myself...

How should i go about porting it???

I've worked on chevys and basiclly all you do, if u don't wanna do any machining is go widen the ports w/a dremmel and smooth everything out. is there any rotary equivalent, and i need to pass emmissions.

Check the porting thread in the engine building section, its for an fd but some parts would be similar.
