Can you run on the stock twins with no fuel upgrades on a FD??

Other mods

Trust Cat-back

Pettit Downpipe

Pettit Intake

Thats all the mods.

So how much boost would be safe?

Is 14 PSI safe though? BTW - I dont want borderline I want safe zone. This is for my dads card and he is slightly abusive to his FD. He drives it like a mad 17 y/o. So I need a good safe boost level for it. I was thinking 12 PSI. Anyone think that is a good number to go with.

Of course we will dyno it and make sure.

Before the midpipe, i ran 14 psi with intake, catback, I/C, downpipe

i still run 14 psi with the midpipe. I guess I have a healthy fuel system. Now that it is getting cold, i turned it down to 13pri, 12 secondary to compensate, still runs awesome.

Im young but i'm not stupid.

With these mods i was in the mid 80's duty cycle. yours will be even lower.

The Pettit ECU's (the stage 3..whatever the most agressive tune is) just maxes out the injectors to 100%.

Peter Farrel's advice to me about fuel was.."if your using the stock twins, there is no need to upgrade the fuel system (perhaps a bigger pump...) because the engine will just not use it all. " I feel this is the way to blow a motor up...however he has been right so far in my case.

ECU Upgrade out of the question at this point in time. I will set him up to run at 10PSI that should be plenty fun for him and keep the car alive.

He is 57 years old has a 2000 C-5 Vert in the garage and never drives it anymore. Ever since he got the Fd. He gets into more red light races then I could ever dream of.
