does diameter size for the outlet adapter really matter?

greddy type r is a 47mm bov, but the outlet addapters come in 45mm, 40mm, 35mm, and 20mm...... what do these different sizes have to do with performance?

maybe its used to give the bov different sound tones?

wouldnt getting a narrower oultet defeat the purpose of the 47mm valve?

It's just to adapt down so the BOV is running closed-loop for AFM or less noise.

Yes, they restrict "performance" some what...
