Fuel Pressure?
#2
which got me thinkin..
wonderin if an AFPR is selective like that..
id tend to think that the increase is the same at norm and wot..
someone care to explain..
does the ecu control the pressure on the fb or is it based on vacuum...
j9..
is your pump even capable of pushin the extra 5-10psi you seek...

the fuel pressure setup on the gsl-se is exactly the same as the fd, or fc. its got the regulator, and a vacuum line with a solenoid so they can bump the fuel pressure on a hot start.
rising rate would be perfect except i'm na, i dunno if they have something like that?
the pump should do another 5-10lbs, i really dont know that for sure.

Can't you loosen the spring in the AFM to get more fuel or do you think the AFM swings open all the way already?
To add fuel to my buds Toyota Cresida this is what we did. It was at 14.5:1 AFR at wide open so we adjusted the AFM to get 13.5:1. It even got rid of his pinging problem
I'm not sure how you could get more fuel pressure only at WOT. You could drill the top of your reg and epoxy and nut and screw a screw in there but then you'd have more fuel pressure everywhere. I guess then you could adjust your AFM and even the little pot on the pass side strut tower.
I guess it comes down to 3 things.
-the pot
-AFM
-fuel pressure
Can't really adjust the ECU from what I know ? I'd say the pump would be more than willing to run the higher pressure.

yeah the afm has a little stopper on it, i already have it opening further than stock. the spring is in the spot where it opens the most (verified with voltmeter)
i dont think i can adjust the ecu?
i have a feeling i might end up adding a couple injectors and some kinda piggy back or full ecu

You can add more fuel at WOT through your water temp sensor. At WOT have the wire go through a resister some how, making the ECU think the water is cold and add more fuel. Or put a reastat in line and adjust the resistance that way. Can also do this with the air temp sensor. Just a thought.

Mallory fuel pressure regulator #4309 has a vacuum port to increase fuel pressure under load. I am running this on my carb/blower setup but not for sure if it will work for your FI setup. The regulator is like $90 plus it would probably look like a MR. T starter kit with all the fittings on it to get it down to the factory size line. Of course you would also have to purchase a fuel pressure gauge (another $30). Just another suggestion.
Chuck, you come up with some crazy shizzle. J9, you can definately take Chuck's suggestion to heart. He is a mackdaddy on these Rotaries. He continues to blow my mind with the things he can come up with. Come back to States Chuck! They have enough help in Japan! hehe
