Just want to give some info on how to properly do this. I have seen too many cars burn to the ground do to use of improper fuel lines. On the third gen the fuel filter is hidden above the differential. It makes it a pain to get to, especially since it should really be changed every 10k miles. I like to relocate the fuel filter to the back of the rear sub frame. This makes it much easier to get to in he future. The most important thing is to use the proper fuel line. Most of the stuff sold at autoparts stores is for pcv or coolant. It is not designed for high fuel pressure. It may be ok on a carburated car, but not for fuel injection. Ask for hose specifically designed for fuel injection. Another important thing is for the hose to be the corect size. For the third genwith stock filter and lines, use 5/16. I usually use two good quality hose clamps to secure the filter to the subframe. If you want to get fancy you could tap the subframe and bolt the filter on using the stock bracket. I also like to use some foam padding to prevent any rubbing. Make sure you also use good clamps on the fuel lines themselves. The stock spring clamps don'twork too well when they get old. Lastly, I like to put some wire loom around the fuel lines to prevent them from abrading against anything, and some zip ties to prevent them from moving around. These things are very important to prevent fuel leaks and potential fires. Here are a couple pics.
