But do any of you use (or trust for that matter) and fuel system cleaners?

Just wondering. :bigok:

MAZDA has a great fuel solvent that you can get at the dealership. Its a chemical treatment not a high octane/temp cleaner, but as long as you drive normally(meaning putting it up to 7000 rpms every time you drive) you shouldn't need it really

rx-7.com makes a great recommendation of using ATF auto tranny fluid

That's an old trucker's trick. It keeps injectors clean...supposedly.

With each fillup, in the fuel. I never asked how much. I was just told that the police used to check their tanks for red gas.

I know someone on this forum, not vosko, that uses toulene. toulene is some type of paint thinner you buy at home depot. He claims it's a great octane booster. I would never put that in my gas, but to each their own
