Due to lack of traffic I'm going to post useless drivel.

I just picked up an Apex'i turbo timer/A/F gauge. Is it a waste? Yeah probably, but it was a good deal and I'm gonna mount it somewhere I can see the A/F readout. Not to mention the battery condition etc.

Also picked up that kickass Border Burnout Exhaust. Should sound great on this new street-ported engine.

(thanks goracer )

Turbo timer is a waste of cash. I have had one for years and I never use the damn thing. A/F guage is good if it's accurate. You would be better off with a true wide band though.

i agree with everything that guy said... and most A/f guages annoy the **** outta me with their "night rider" LEDs bouncing everywhere.

Yeah I know a turbo timer isnt really necessary. But in all honesty, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

All I am saying is that it is annoying to use and you will end up not using it at all.

Besides who the **** rails on a car then immediately shuts it off. By the time you pull into your neighborhood, parking lot, and get situated the turbo is as cooled off as it needs to be.

I use mine to look at the bat voltage. I've got it set on 30 seconds but usually it is not needed. It was already installed when I bought my car so I wasn't out anything for it...

That was my deal, I found the timer and harness for about 1/3 of its retail price so I said "**** it" why not.

Turbo timers are a nice luxury. I used mine all the time. I would just get outta the car and go inside and the car would take car of itself. Not to mention, it's really convenient to be able to pull your key, lock the door and run into the liquor store, grocery store or gas station. And the automatic function of the Apex'i FATT means you can literally pull of the highway from a 100MPH run, switch it off and let it countdown and cool off. I know you all say it's a waste of money, but I used my TT every day. When I was running late for work? Never had to worry about waiting in the car. I just got out and went on my way. The battery voltage function is nice too, seeing as how the FD only has an idiot light. The meter will tell you if you're in danger way before the light will. The AFR? Not all of us can afford a wideband AFR for day-to-day use. with the AFR meter (which by the way is a numerical readout, not those retarded dancing lights), you can tell if you're not running rich. That's beneficial when you're pushing higher boost on the road. You see that sucker come up to 13:1 on the readout, you know something's up and calm it down.

I dunno why the 'hardcore' guys are saying they're worthless.. This is on a street FD.. For his application they're worth the money.
