Is FC or FD a better chasis to build a drag car with?

Consider the engine and turbocharger is exactly the same, controled by the same exact engine management system. Which car has more potential as a drag racer? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png

any chassis can be easily reinforced...

its the driveline you need to concern yourself with..

I agree, have a tube frame built and hang either body style on it.

Hey guys, Thats not helping much. its kinda like a multiple choice + short essay question. Its either FD or FC, tube frame was not a choice of answer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png

FD with all FD driveline, compare to FC with FC drive line. Both uses FD engine.

I am thinking FC can be strip down pretty light, and the diff casing is thicker (thanks mike)

what about weight distribution? drive train loss? traction? chasis stiffness (before and after reinforcement)

Thanks in advance

Like they said any car can be made better so just choose the boddy you want...Of course you can find an fc for way cheaper so that leaves you with money to buy parts....The thing of it is you said drag car and that meens no stock parts for the most part cuz of the power your gonna want to make to be fast....So it really doesnt mater just choose and modify.....I feel like i was talking in circles did i make sence????????lol.......

I would choose an FB. Solid rear axle means no camber change as the rear end squats down.

isnt the fc heavier than the fd? or am i mistaken
