The butterflies are there to keep the engine safe until it gets up to running temps I believe. But I have been known to be wrong. I know that they are pointless.

 

what did you use to seal up the hole for the butterfly plate rod? did you follow rob's instructions using a bolt? I was thinking about using JB weld...

The double throttle apparently has a second function. I believe this post is originally from the big list. I remember reading about it when it was current. I found it again at scuderiaciriani.com. Note the date of the original post!

According to the Shop Manual (Page F-137):



"The response delay of the pressure sensor following rapid acceleration

temporarily causes a lean fuel mixture. The double throttle control system

prevents this hesitation caused by the lean fuel mixture...."

Jt for the benefit for those of us that don't have a bore as big as you why don't you bring a stock throttle body to your dyno tuning session and do some back to back runs I am really curious to see how it effects your torque output. Even a 10ft lb increase would make it worthwhile for me.

How much did that cost JT to get that done. I woudlent mind getting that done myself.

 

Just to over size the throttle--$620.95 just charge the shipping to me when you ship it, and then I will take care of it after that... Takes about 1 week to get all the word done to it and then 4-8 days shipping time back..
