for a mostly street car with the occasional ride down the 1320. what do you guys think is a good clutch?? or, whats your opinion in general about these companies?

ACT, Clutchmasters, Centerforce, Racing Beat, Exedy...

thanks

NA or Turbo? I'd go with ACT all the way. I love my Xtreme plate and SS disc in my TII

i would get the act, but the lower of the 2, the pedal will be a little firmer than stock and its still super easy to drive normal. the "big" pressure plate is a lot harder than stock, and i dunno if you need the extra holding power

Pedal feel is very nice, and its definitely firm, but not uncomfortably so at all. It did make the pedal in my friends WRX seem buttery by comparison though.

hmm, I may be getting that myself, since my clutch may be trying to crap out on me, which is a damn good excuse to get a new flywheel, "as long as I am under there", hmm, assuming I don't have to put a down payment on this house soon.

I had the ACT street/strip with the regular pressure plate on a few modified TII's, and it help up very well. I never had any problems with slipping. Anthony Maharaj had the same type of clutch on his 11.12 second FD, and it help up for quite a while before it started to slip. That car made 386 RWHP and made many 1/4 mile passes.
