So I got off work early today and went to the hobby shop with my borla XR-1 I bought when I was in the states(Thanks PFS, Ray and Rikki!). Ran it on the 4 post, took all 4 nuts/bolts off and pulled my midpipe off.



Fit it by eye, cut it with a cut off saw and welded it(welding took the longest)...



Started her up and WOW...my car's quiet now.



WOT still sounds the same, but at idle, it's quiet.



It's actually about as quiet as Rikki's car with his midpipe and a PFS catback...

wow i have that as my pre-silencer and an N1 as my muffler, but mine is still loud. 1.15 A/R turbine, and 3" turbo back.

1. Does it get rid of the annoying drone at cruise?

2. Which Borla XR-1 did you use (round or oval) ?

3. Does the exaust fumes still enter the cabin (or it cleaned that up)?



I was thinking of adding it to a resonated mid pipe but have no idea where on the pipe the resonated section is.

If you have a resonated midpipe, then you won't need a borla xr-1. Putting an xr-1 on is the same as buying an aftermarket resonated midpipe.
