Which apex seals do you use?

My motor was done by Rampage Racing. They used 3 mm seals. So I'm assuming they used Hurleys because they always use them. I can't ask them now because they're not around anymore. The motor has been holding up well to 17 PSI from the T-78 for about 5K miles so far, 8K miles with the stock turbo.
Before I had the motor rebuilt I had the stock 3 piece seals running 15 PSI on the stock turbo with no fuel upgrades, and when I took the motor apart everything looked good. The rotor housings looked almost new, and all of the seals were intact.

Is this a turbo topic or apex seals in general?
doesn't it stand to reason that 3mm seals would be better then 3piece 2mm seals? Not talking about their boost characteristics, but the way they would be more durable as they get worn down. I'd think a seal that is getting worn down, a extra mm thickness would allow the engine to last longer before it cracks perhaps?
I use carbon seals in my normally asp. 12a bridgeport. I am completely aware of their short life expectency. But no damage occurs to the rotor housings really. The cost to replace them is cheap and justified...considering insurance is WAY cheaper on my 1st gen then my 2nd gen in the course would pay for itself in two months!
