ok thanks,

one more ?... if I do decide to put in the intercooler would it end up being just a precaution or would I actually see some more noticeable power gains???

Well, you will notice a difference in your intake temps. The car will run smoother.

Even after you get an aftermarket IC you should still be getting enough fuel. But you will want to keep in mind that your mix could lean out with fuel slosh. I would suggest at the very least get a good a/f ratio guage so that you can keep an eye on things. Chances are though that you engine will be fine.

It's once you throw a downpipe on there that you run in to problems.

I think Dave meant midpipe. Thats when you need to be careful.

An intercooler won't give you any *noticable* power gains. It just enables you to crank up the boost safely as long as your mods will support it.
