I have an 87 Mazda RX-7, I have an aftermarket tach that i've been trying to install for a while now but I can't seem to find the tach lead anywhere. I have tried many places but can't find it at all. If you know what I can do to get this hooked up please help... Also it's a Sunpro tach (sunpro is owned by autometer).

I'm not sure if you can just wire it up for a tach signal or not without an adapter but MSD sells a tach adapter called "DIS-Tach driver" for about $50 that will work.

there are a couple of places for that.

1. on the trailing coil is an "extra" bullet connector, it is for hooking up a tach to diagnose problems

2. you can tap into the tach wire, *i think* its yellow with a white stripe, but basically it goes from the coil right to the actual gauge
