Hi, I had a question I saw a video that day a 700hp motor in japan. I wanted to know what kind of mods do I need to make a 700hp motor. How much money do I have to invest?

Leetheslacker 12-24-2002 10:47 PM

the one with the 5 lil jap guys sitting in the trunk? That vid is funny!

1Revvin7 12-24-2002 11:38 PM

what kind of motor? a 4-rotor makes that n/a. :bigok: a couple big turbos or a big single at like 40+psi, nitrous would make it alot easier to get there.

Silver Ninety Three 12-24-2002 11:52 PM

I think thats the Scoot video. Red car, T51-R turbo, and like 5 asian guys sitting on the car covering their ears.

pengaru 12-24-2002 11:53 PM

url to this video somebody?

vosko 12-25-2002 10:45 AM

i have it here.... http://www.vosko.net/media/

i think that is a semi p-port or something at 1.8bar of boost.... lol

crzy Rotary 12-25-2002 02:13 PM

now is that possilbe to make a 700hp 13b?

vosko 12-25-2002 02:16 PM

Yes. You would need a new motor, extra dowel pins, a big single turbo or twin turbos, a big port job(probably a bridgeport), a standalone ems, an ignition comp(hks twinpower is popular), lots of fuel, etc etc.

crzy Rotary 12-27-2002 11:44 AM

:bigthumg: thank you sir! I shall find out how much would I need to invest and hopefully start on it early june.

JT-Imports 12-27-2002 07:02 PM

I priced this a while ago for a customer.

Im pretty sure it was around $19,000 for the motor, turbo kit, computer and

all the trimmings to make 700hp or very close to it.... ALL FROM RE

There are many smaller companies that do specials like this quite often.

The usually do it for around $17,000 or close to it

sounds about right

Leetheslacker 12-28-2002 12:09 AM

I can get a shot of the engine if you want? :bigok:

crzy Rotary 12-28-2002 09:48 PM

thanks guys! I appreciate for your help. :bigok:

Leetheslacker 12-28-2002 10:10 PM

Actually i believe it said it was 700ps which converts to 690 hp.

Thats not bad for that type of raw power.Vosko thats what you should have done right there. Then you would blow trannies and rears on a daily basis. :bigok:

Viper1308 01-01-2003 10:50 PM

Check out the Banzai package from Pettit racing! :bigok: Besides why would you want that much HP. Useless street car.

93 R1 01-02-2003 06:49 AM

I heard it was a huge street port NOT a P Port

Bridgeported 01-19-2003 06:09 AM

It is definitely a partial bridgeport.

Just imagine the same setup but with a full bridgeport!!!

j9fd3s 01-19-2003 12:23 PM

scoot has a semi pp motor, i cant find the pic but i assure you they do

mike

93 R1 01-19-2003 04:03 PM

You don't need a p port or bridge to make that kind of power.

I know Scoot does have some crazy **** though, but I heard the car in the video is a SP.

SPEED_NYC 01-20-2003 12:09 AM

the scoot car is a semi PP

i have engine pics of that car and pics of the intake manifold

rx3-driver 01-20-2003 12:58 AM

hi guys i am from australia .just a bit of info about 13b power .one of the pac performance cars here in australia (dont know if you have heard of them)is an rx3 sedan owned by one of their customers called ivan pushed out 798rwhp at the summer nats (the biggest car show in australia)was a 13b turbo running on c16 fuel .if i can find a video i will post a link .as yet there is none available but try

My Webpage

their web page isnt up yet but will be soon

Judge Ito 01-20-2003 07:22 AM

A car I wildly ported and polished made 701rwhp on just a large street port. This was on the FD engine. 2mm stock apex seals Haltech E6k 6 bar map sensor 40lbs of boost. engine was not extra pinned. Methanol fuel.

You are the ******* MAN, Ito.

What turbo was bolted to that monster? How did it drive?

SPEED_NYC 01-23-2003 08:49 PM

the guy who sent me the pics of the bare intake manifold told me that scoot was selling them on a made to order basis. if anyone wants a semi PP motor, scoot can sell you a manifold that apparently has the correct port timing to make serious power......

rx7machine 01-23-2003 10:18 PM

What does PP stand for? That sounds good.

SPEED_NYC 01-23-2003 10:59 PM

PP = perifrial port

notice the 2 large runners on the intake manifold going directly into the rotor housing, instead of into the front and rear plates?

those are perif ports, as opposed to side ports

I shouldn't known that.. how much power does it add?

93 R1 01-25-2003 10:21 AM

sorry i forgot to post them

vosko 01-25-2003 03:42 PM

i wonder why scoot didn't use the secondary ports too ?

the perif ports that scoot uses are pretty big, i dont think there is a need for secondary side ports.

thier motor is basically a PP drag car motor that also makes use of the primary ports just to add a lil low speed driveability, not really for increased airflow.

its like having siguel's motor AND being able to idle at 1000 rpm https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

93 R1 01-25-2003 05:57 PM

I want to hear more about this motor/car Ito built
