I think the previous body style looks better, but this one has (trying to remember) 47% more torsional rigidity, a bit more head and truck room, and what, 10 more kilos I think he said? How much is a kilo?

kilos bout 2.4 pounds...

its on the rx8 platform, IIRC, so maybe a renesis is not too far.

I like this design way better. The previous design looked fruity and uncapable. This design at least has the appearance of more muscle. The profile is the best picture they have on MazdaUSA.

Can you get one with a 2.0L engine, NO AC, NO power steering, NO leather, roll up windows, simplier steering wheel? If so that would be interesting car.

Yeah it is called a Lotus. Only they only had 1.3 liter engines. The miata still holds to its basic roots and although the S2000 may sport a larger engine and boast more power it is also a less balanced car.
