my old 323 gtx was the ultimate sleeper. stock 323 on the outside, but AWD and FD fast.

when i worked at a local car audio store some guy had a honda crx with primer paint and a bunch of dents and stock hims,and some exhaust,looked real REALLY slow,but had a lt1 vette engine in that....think it was an older vette engine....but that thing was quick

back to the yugo's ... .. this guy here races at the local drag strip for atleast 10 years now. Cool old guy Dave something..... anyway...the car was originally 52 hp and ran 21s in a 1/4. Now it has about 115hp and has run in the 14.70s in the 1/4.

Are old Fiats rear wheel drive.. Those would be nice.. but very similar to the triumph or midgets..

How bout and old Opel.. The one with the vette style lights.. Slap a 3 rotor in there..

I think I would do a Daihatsu Charade with a maybe 13b or if not a type R engine, but if we keep it mazda, then maybe a 323 Turbo engine..

I know of 2 Volvo sedans with fuel injected 302's in them.

Easy swap and they even have the A/C

but the leather and dolby 9 speaker make up for it!

Great question Lee, the answer is simple, when you have an engine like the B18, the easiest way to have no problems is to mate it to a tranny that will fit that engine. So all you have to do is make sure that the body of the Metro can fit (and if it can't, you can try and make it) the B18C, an ITR Type R tranny and rear end. This sounds very simple but it's not obviously, the Metro's engine bay is VERY cramped compared to an ITR and so is the underbody including the tranny tunnel. i've heard ITR's with turbos...the sound is sick, hell the VTEC on the B18C5 sounds sick alone.

Tek, B18C is all I was told, he said it was out of a GSR.

oh, thats a completely different engine then.



GS-R engine vs. Type-R engine (aka B18 vs B18C5) is about a 1 to .5 second difference in the 1/4 mile (my friend has a GS-R hooked up that runs 14.9, my friends type-r stock runs 14.5)



the vtec on the B18 is a tad quieter and weaker then on the C5, both are good engines, as far as honda is concerned.
