anyways...dan im looking around spring to summer...this rebuild took all the money i was planning for suspension and a daily driver
That sucks about the funds. But yea, I'll be buying perhaps in mid/late summer.

My plans are probably *hopefully* going to be mild for the mr2. Just lower it on nice rims, make it look purrdy, etc. I would love to have an Mr2 for the sake of the mr2 meets and community though...I never met up with them...sucks.

When CrimsonMKII came to check out my Turbo for a potential buyer he let me drive his NA, it was pretty nice, I was impressed.

Can't wait to have FD and MKII....ahhh next year's gonna rock. We'll def. meet up in the spring bro...or perhaps sooner.

I wouldn't....

Targa is cool but when you have it on you can't see through it.

The T-tops are awesome cause if you have them ON your mr2 (when it's too cool out) , you can take the sunshades off and still have all of this viewing space to let light in and look up and out at the sky/stars (oops, shouldn't do that while driving but yea...)

When you take t-tops off...you have one small bar in the center...who cares...I think the fact that when you have the tops on you can still have a "sunroof" effect outweighs the bar "disadvantage" compared to the Targa. Oh, and might I add the Targa makes the MKIV very weak (chasis flex) because there is no Bar..not sure if every targa is like that but that bar does more good than bad i suppose.

I still love sunroof though, cause the other 2 (targa and ttops) are a chore to take off and on. Sunroof/Moonroof (powered) is so simple. But that doesn't have the same affect as ttop/targa either.

Sunroof/moonroofs are nice, but they dont have that "convertible" feel.

It's just so much more open with the ttops and targa's. Also its open on both sides above the doors when you put the windows down.

umm yea. Thats why I said they don't have the same effect as the ttop/targa though...because of the bars on the side. I consider t-top/targa/convert in a league of its own since it basically changes the "code" of the cars chasse as to what it is.

Nobody says "Look its a sunroofed model"

If its a convert or targa car they denote it so, sunroof is just another cool option....

Sounds like a worthwhile car to me. If only I had more money . .

Mr 2 handles great. Its the weight distribution that makes it an oversteerer (like a 911). If you add some balast to the front to get it closer to 50 50 and work out the suspension sway bar/spring rates you can reduce the oversteer effects.

no its the strong front sway bar and the small rear one that causes the oversteer

the car has 49/51 weight distribution

What kind of suspension does the MR2 have? McPhearson struts front and rear?
