what does it matter? You will Probably not own either in your lifetime. Go back to watching Initial D. When you grow out of this phase come back and talk

Having owned a Skyline in the past, and knowing a lot of the quirks that go with these cars, your better option for a daily driver would be the Supra in the US, If your just looking to dump an assload of money into a sunday cruiser, than by all means buy a Skyline. But before you do this, weigh the cost of replacement parts, Most GT-R's heading to the US are high mileage, bone stock models, adding any type of power to these cars will cost you just about as much as buying the car itself. Trannies, front differentials, and other small items are not exactly cheap to have shipped in. Then there is the legalization issue, not cheap in itself either... For the money spent on either car, the best bang for the buck in the US is the Supra

Motorex handles the legalization stuff here in Cali and I bet they get parts too.. but even if they are availiable they would not be cheap..

the title says skyline or supra.

also, jspec or anyone in japan, for say the r32/33 model, what was the difference between the gtr and the regular skyline? was it a gts and gtr versions? cause the "skyline" we get i believe is called the skyline gt35 or 3.5 or something...

gtr definitely. they are like better in every way. awd, and aws, plus like in the past article of SCC. the skyline whupped the supra on buttonwillow, and had previously come from japan with a 1/4 time of 8.7 something.... that was like with 800hp. granted that was a r34, but still. almost all high hp supra's are dyno queens, they look way to big and bulky (much more than the r34 imho) and really just aren't that great. sp even though its not a choice, i'd pick a r34.

and jspec, yea, you are confused! haha, title was supra or skyline, and then in the first post he just asked supra or r33 skyline.... obviously most people don't give two ***** about anything non gtr (definitely not talking about the family sedan skyline) and we do have the next skyline here... also, info is already out that the gtr will have the 3.5l motor, with twin turbos. plus, the g35 already comes in awd (this might just be the sedan now, and not the coupe though).... anyway the new gtr is coming, just not with an rb.
