I think V8's are ghetto, and they use dinosaur technology but; this thing look's tough.

uhh, piston engine technology has been around over a hundred years now. So your inline four is somehow using less antiquated technology than modern v8's?

This was meant to be a jab at the V8 fella's. All I've heard for the last week, is how this model Corvette or Mustang can beat this or that japanese manufacturer's small displacement engine. I should of been more clear.

For year's domestic people have stood behind the Viper's big #'s, which have gone up to 500hp recently. When you think about it, a V10 with 500hp isn't a real acomplishment, that's debatable, but everything is. Yet, when an H22 or 3sgte or 13b, make's 500hp or more, it's considered a joke. Or, the usual, "you have to have a power adder". Time's are changing, 2.2liter and smaller engine's are balling all over your 8.0liter V10's and mighty 5.7liter vette engines, and it's being done with realtechnology. In the end, I'm down for anything that make's big power, pushrod's or not. It'd be cool if more domestic people came to the same realization.

So that turbo is not technology? Just apply the same power adders to the pushrod.

And..... you still have a pushrod engine. My point was, 3/4's of you fella's that have V8's assume you'll win a race against a small displacement engine because you have more cubes. At least, 3/4's of the people I've raced in the last 9year's have thought that.

I'll tell you what, show me where there's been a real advance in the Chevy 350 in the last 25 or so year's, beside's stepping up to efi, and you'll prove me wrong.
