guess we'll just have to see if the new 2.5L turbo engine from Subaru has some validity to back up the suggested 300hp mark https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png ...Evo's engine has been around a while...and recently put up a supposed 244 hp/253 tq to the wheels on a dyno for the US Evo8...
If I had the money I'd love to purchase either one...but I'd rather wait a year or so to see how everything pans out and to see how much people really pay to get one... I love my FC's, but can't help think how nice it would be to own a brand new low 13 sec out of the box car, capable of carrying a few friends and my bike as well :bigthumg: cool STI site: http://www.wrx-sti.ca/ |

Stock-for-stock I don't think the Evo will be able to touch the STi.
And even once the aftermarket gets ahold of them I think the STi will fare better. Mitsu is running 19psi to get that power... Subaru is only running about 12psi (iirc). |
the STi is the better car, hands down. Though, they are both really cool. Im glad to see America finally get some badass cars. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

The engine that is in the Evo is a time proven powerplant, the aftermarket already exists for it, expect Evos with simple bolt on mods to have 400hp or so no problem and be daily driven. |
