crash you have the right idea but the wrong engine...the festiva is imho a sleeper monster waiting to happen with probly less then 5 grand car included you can do a swap with an old 323 gt turbo engine the B6T(also in some domestic(ford/mercury) cars but i cannot think of waht at the moment) slap a nice clucth some better break, get a custem exhuast, and a custem manifold, soem fuel mods and a T3, and push into the low mid 200hp's...gut the car of most things except for say the front seats and things your need....your looking at 1700pound car with around 230hp do the math the 0-60 could kill some modded 3rd gens with out thinkign twice...If i wasn't busy building up my FC, thats what I'd be building.
I mean who wouldn't want to pace a brand new 911 turbo in a festiva.
althouygh traction might be an issue I hadn't though of. but who know maybe a project for the winter. also the cosworth enigne isn't the first engine I'd think of going into a festiva the SHO mounted in the rear has shown 0-60 in 4.4seconds( do a google search for SHOgun...it is disturbing)
