Yeah the RB26DETT would be could and rare. My friends original plans for his 240 were to go that way. Ufortunately the company that he bought his engine from ran out of RB26DETT's so he settled for an SR20DET. It's still cool though.

Turbo MR2s and NAs are hard to tell a dif from a quick look...exterior wise the turbo has a higher/vented hood lid, and the NAs have a flat hood lid...interior..the boost guage,lol..thats the real only differences.
Yea, I didn't get a real good look at.. I just drove by it.. I'll be looking for it next time.

We're located in central Va. We actually have some 300z's TT and misc acuras that cruise with us but arent in the crew yet, lol. That turbo kit sounds cool, but I'm not sure which direction we're gonna go with the 240. The car is really for my friends bro when he gets his license, so we're just showing him how to mod it and drive it,etc. We will have an NX express kit on it by the weekend most likely...I'm pretty sure once the motor goes we'll end up doin an sr20det swap...or maybe even something crazy like a rb26dett,lol..who knows.
I've heard of each swaps before.. The sr20dett and the rb26dett.. is the sr20dett from a silvia (sp)? And is the rb26dett from a skyline?

No SR20DETT, it's the SR20DET that everybody uses. It was used in many Nissans, but most of them that find their way into S13's on this side of the water use the SR20DET from the Silvia and the 180SX. There are different variations from model to model. The RB26DETT was available in three generations of the Nissan Skyline GT-R. They were the R32, R33, and R34 chassis's.

Many people just have wet dreams about using the RB26DETT, but never follow through with it. Plus, the SR20DET is a better choice. Why? Practicality makes it so. The SR is cheaper and there is a larger aftermarket for it. It also can make more than enough power for most people. It's also just a plain good engine.
