I've been debating this with my friend. I say that in a quarter mile. the RX-7 takes out the Supra. But in actual longer distance. Supra wins over. This is because of the weight difference in the 2 cars. RX-7 is light and quicker. Supra is Heavier, and slower off the line. They are both great cars though. Even if you had a 500 hp 7 and a 700 hp supra. which would win. Give me your opinions. I say seven. Not in top end, but in 1/4.

 

you would be correct...a 500 hp 7 would kill a 700 hp supra in the 1/4 mile...if not even in top end.

if drivers are = then the RX should be able to beat it. once you get RX-7's over the 400 hp mark they are hard to beat now at 500 they are damn fast.

 

Stock for stock, the supra always had a better acceleration by a little, but the 7 always kicked *** in the twisties. But once increased in horsepower, the 7 just kicks more *** w/ lesser horsepower.

 

Does it matter? Supras are butt-ugly.

Design is subjective, they just look awful to me. I tried to like them because they're engineered so well, but couldn't stomach owning one, I'd be kinda embarassed.



I'd rather have a manatee.
