Are there any good looking, street legal kit cars for rotary owners that don't cost an arm and a leg? I looked at factory five as a starting point, and while they have nice stuff, it's effing expensive and you have to have a mustang donor car. Wondering if enyone here could help me in my search. I think Inanimate Object has posted about kit cars a few times.

Thanks

PS: I tried to search, but since the word 'kit' is less than 4 letters it kicked back my search.

If you want cheap and fast, this is basically a cheap version of the car I'm building minus the double wishbones at the rear. It's good because you don't need a jig for the chassis and although it's based on an old european Escort, most people are now basing them on Ford Sierra's - which is good news if you're in America because the Mercur xr4ti's are basically 4wd Sierras.

Once I have mine done (sometime this summer), the rotary project starts - I'm dropping a bridgeport 13b into one of these:

At this stage I have in mind 250-300bhp and the car should weigh no more than 750kgs which is well over 350bhp/tonne.

I was looking into doing something similar a while back and might still do so when some additional funds become available. Still have a couple of pictures I will share. I just imagined me having a 20B in the back and cruising South Beach. Wooooooooo

I know you will get some ideas maybe generate some interest from the members here, maybe I'll just build a few and sell them....... J/K

Really does not seem too hard a project to build just seems more time consuming.

Enjoy the pictures. Welcome to the Ultima GTR.......................
