I don't like the NEW Z that much. The front of the car is way uninspireing. And what, no Twin Turbo's

I like the new Z more every time I see it. The only one I saw in person was at the NYC auto expo, but that was enough.

They weigh in at about 3200, and the track version does the quarter in 14.4.

I've seen a few out here in NJ already. A silver, orange, red (i think, my memory is going in my old age). Also, i got the new issue of Car & Driver and they have an article (I didnt read it yet, just looked at the picktures) on the G35 coupe. It looks really nice, but I like the full size version of the G35. But the coupe very very nice looking.

I like the Z, but then I always liked the Z cars. The guy that bought the 350Z with the 00001 production number lives up hear in Washington. He owns a Nissan dealership and is going to put the 350Z in the show room next to an old 280Z that he has. Plus a big chunk of the money from the auction went to charity I believe.

There's an excellent chance that the new Z will never have turbos, because the new GT-R will most likely have a VQ30DETT, at least in some markets; they are already testing this in some JGTC R34 GT-Rs. And it wouldn't make sense (sorry for thinking like a marketing guy here) to have your $35k sports car have the same motor as your $60k (or thereabouts) supercar. Who would buy GT-Rs then?

(Well, me, but anyway . . . )

The new Infinti has the same engine as the 350Z, and it tops out at $31,000. wtf?

Rob, from what I know, all of the 350Z models are under 30 grand, except for the Track model. They slap on some Ray's wheels, Brembos, and some other crap for the extra money.

Track model is almost $35,000, honestly if I could get a loaded Infiniti with the same engine and performance in a nicer package, for $31,000, thats going to take a chunk out of the 350Z, not to mention that the insurance companies might put it in a lower class.

i think that they are just trying to sell more cars... if you can sell a Z to some snobby old people by calling it an infiniti ten thats what theyll do... same car... larger market... i think id actually go for the infiniti... same price and a little less chance of othe young guys having it.
