2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R: what we know

Unique GT-R design, not like 350Z or G35

Key elements of GT-R design heritage

Priced between $60,000 - $100,000

Better performance than R34 GT-R

Less than 500 horsepower

All-wheel drive

Top performance characteristics

Final design almost complete

Nissan testing mules right now

2007 scheduled production date

Late 2005 (Tokyo Auto Show?) concept release

The last question sort of assumes the car is coming to US. I am very excited to hear that. The rivalry of the early 90's was scarce of its fifth competitor due to Nissan's decisions (FD, Supra, 300zx, Vr4, Skyline...). I've always considered the FD and the GTR as my top favorite "affordable" sports cars.

Are there any pictures of prototypes or whatnot? The photo's in that article looks like the current one out already, no?

I better start saving

the silver one IO posted is a pretty old prototype, they've had that on the boards for a good 2 or 3 years now, and i dont think anythings come of it. The red one looks like an Altima SE-R, but minus 2 doors and with a bodykit

Yep, but it's the best indication to date of what the new gtr will be like.

EDIT; that other one looks like a 15 year old did it on photoshop
