Anyone have any experience with the BMW 525i, 535i, 540i etc... from the early '90s? I'm thinking I want one, but I'd like to hear some first hand experiences before I make a decision.

Also, if you know of any good sites or forums, let me know.

Mini (BMW) wants $30 each for the SPARKPLUGS for my car..

I used to own an old 320i and the parts were very expensive even by RX-7 standards. Like $30 for a themostat.

Their parts are very expensive. But they are very well built and over engineered cars.

Well, if parts cost twice as much but you buy them half as often, that's not bad, right? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Guy I know ordered a new 5 series two weeks ago.

I had the chance to ride in a early to mid 1990's M5. It was pretty cool. Had the inline 6 cylinder. Not a light car, obviously.

As far as the German cars go I like the stylings of BMW moreso than Mercedes-Benz.

According to the BMW forums, they're very reliable cars.

I'm not worried about the weight...I'll have at least the Sport for lightweight fun.

A new Dinan LSD for the 525i costs a helluva lot less than that.
