So you think a Cobra is a poopy car. It is under Ford, and under the name Mustang. Any car done properly, with the right amount of internal/external engine modifications will be fast and reliable.
Also, talk to j9fd3s about doing a 20b swap into an FC. Your major problems would be fabrication, and tuning.
I like Matt's idea still of a 13b-re powered SA/FB. I would take one, and have a really plain dull color. Like brown!!

well i dunno about a dull color, something factory.
black or silver 13b-re powered gsl-se, just some wheels and a stock body, mint paint.
sleeper, that looks quick, but doesnt give off the whole corvette smoking vibe.

Put it in your sig!!! This person must not realize how much the core costs alone. Tack on ECU, transmission, pp/flywheel combo, fuel system. You are looking at over 10k for this dream of a swap. Even if you do it yourself. Nickel and dime **** is what kills you.
Well, I meant nothing to insane Matt. Silver would be a cool color for a 13b-RE powered GSL-SE

So you say you can't afford a turbo for your Prelude but you want to build a 20b powered something? Joke of the day material right there.

Ahhh you dont need boost, all I've got in the lude right now is a clutch masters FX400 (stage 4) clutch kit, a clutch masters aluminum flywheel, a neuspeed short throw shifter, an AEM cold air intake, STR throttle body, BBK High Volume fuel pump, AEM high flow rail, AEM Fuel Press. Reg., Accel fuel injectors, Accel Ignition, Nology hotwires, NGK Iridium plugs, Venom Intake Manifold, Arias Pistons, Fluidyne Radiator, unorthodox racing pulleys, airmass headers, custom exaust- no cat- with a carbon wrapped muffler thats about it. And I still beat V-8's. Of course I've spent entirely way to much money on this car.

please tell me your joking.
you seem like a cool enough guy, if you COULD afford to do a 20b powered car, why not put it in an rx7, you can find a good body rx with no engine farily cheap, the odds are, if you can afford to do a 3 rotor swap, buying a new car to drop it in wont be a problem

Wow, I really don't want to have to follow that display of crap grammar, but I'm going to. No way can you beat any V-8 with your Prelude. You might have gotten a sheisty 5.0, and they do exist, you might even have luck against the 4.6 powered stock GT's. But don't go thinking that you can handle all of us just because you took out the jokers in the group. As for a conversion to RWD on a prelude you are looking at closer to 20,000 because the interior has to be completely re-done (Assuming you want a somewhat nice non race interior). I am not saying you can't do it or that you shouldn't try, my buddy still wants to do a Prelude powered by 2005 S2000 drivetrain, I just don't see it happening for ya with a limited budget.
