my 99wj jeep over heats when a/c is on any ideas on what to check?

what kinda fan does it have? mechanical? you need to check the fan clutch, if its got an extra a/c fan make sure that comes on when the ac turns on

if it has the small electric fan on the drivers side of the radiator, check the fan connector. I have seen many that make poor contact causing the fan not to run and the jeep to overheat

it has electrical fans.



i'll check to see if it has that little one later.



i am letting my inlaws drive it sooooo when ever they decide its to freaking hot i assume i will get it back to try to fix

you said "fans", the other fan comes on when it gets hot or when you turn on the AC, so check that out like everyone said.
