Oops double post sorry!

:sigh:

yeah I want to get

Bassani long tube headers

bassani off road X pipe

Flowmaster 2 chamber 40 series mufflers

then put in a centerforce clutch (mine is stock)

and a BBK adjustable clutch quadrant and hopefully see 14.0 flat.....

Mine slips in 1st gear some and slips on hard shifts into 2nd.. was doing this on the 1st clutch when I ran 14.8 and about 2-3 weeks later my pressure plate failed and tore the clutch disc into a big pile of black fur... and did a lil bit of damage to my bellhousing.... look in my pics to see it for yourself...

i would say most TurboII's(86-91 turbo) are modded with usually full exhaust. many T2's have gone 14's with just exhaust and FCD(fuel cut defencer) they can be VERY fast. FD's are fast stock, put an exhaust and ecu upgrade then well you know. if you want a FD don't put more money into your mustang!!!

Na... will still put money into the stang...

Love that car.. she is not perfect and no show queen a bit rough but I have always wanted a 5.0 since I was a kid... got her first... wanted an Fd since I was in 7th grade... so that is second on the list.... after that hate to say it but family car.... I want a 4 door for every day driving and something lower on insurance!

sweet thanks..

ok then FD is what I want...

I drove one of the I guess FC it was and it was not too bad... non turbo... it would have been a match for a V6 mustang.... but by no means a 5.0... but the turbo of that year may be a closer race to the 5.0

I know the FD turbos will eat me alive most likely....
that FC u drove was in piece of **** condition then. ( IM NOT BASHING YOUR CAR ) because my FC stock has beat every 5.0 and GT from 89-01. and overcourse i have raced many, auto and stick so it was no flook.

It ran good.. just got it out of the body shop... we where going to put it up for sale at the dealership I worked at.... which is a big dealership and does not deal in lemon or old crappy high miled cars.... I was taking it to get new tires put on it...

But if those TURBO2 cars would run like 14's with a bit of work then I know a non turbo RX7 from the 80's is by no means a match for a 5.0! A good driver in a Mustang should run mid to high 14 second passes! Unless it is an auto...

Now guys a bad driver in an auto 5.0 may run like a 15.5 or even a 16... seen it happen..... even a bad driver in a 5spd can do the same thing.... not trying to stir up anything I am here mainly for info on these cars mroe than anything. but if you guys want to bash anything bash the camaros... those cars are extremely ineffiecent... retarded exhaust setup... you almost have to drop the motor to do the spark plugs... and the catalytic converter sticks up into the passenger foot well. Dont get me wonr they are quick and some are fast... but by no means are they intelligently designed...

oh and on a side note... 99 Z28 6 spd 12.9 stock..... so they are fast.....

Not to mention they are going the way of the RX-7... discontinued... I am glad. They have got to be one of the most brutally ugly cars around. If I was going *just* on looks alone, I think I would pick a generic new Ford Taurus (ie just about anything) over the Camaro. Now the old style models were nice, the old 80's models where they didn't use a single curved line on the entire body? Mmmm.

Yep 2002 is the last year for Firebirds and camaros....

But mustangs are scheuduled for production beyond 2004 still...

and the 2002 Mustang GT's just got 1140 watt stock stereo! Mach1000 its called. Also the possibility of another Mustang coming out called the Mach1 which would feature a cobra like motor and a stock output of 300hp. And the terminator is still suppose to come out. 400hp plus!

I don't mind Mustangs too much, they are decent to look at. Problem is they are too popular. At least where I live. My drive to work every morning, 20 miles or so? I am *guaranteed* to see a 'Stang, usually it's more like 4-5 of them. On a 20 mile drive to work! Even in the winter I'll see 1 or 2! Sheesh, I usually see *maybe*, if I'm lucky, 1 3rd gen per *year*.

Do have to admit there are a lot of stangs out there...

only a handful of them are fast! Most are just quick...

But I do plan on making mine different... most of them have the same rims! The Same exhaust the same gauges... etc..

I plan on running 200mph gauges! NO H PIPE! But an X pipe instead they make more power anyway! No shorty headers! But longtubes I am now thinking! And just make some subtle differences!
