Mr-2 Vs Rx-7

I have a 1987 tii in really nice condintion, new paint, engine, exhaust, intake,,,etc etc. i found a 91 mr-2 for sale around my house with 30k on a rebuilt engine nice body,,exhaust work,,intake,,and boosting,,he wants 6k,,,i talke dhim down to 5.5k,,,but the mr-2 has a salvaged title,,,the cause was crashed and a guy who owns a performance shop fixed it and sold it to this guy for 7k,,,this guy put about 2k into it and hes moving and has to sell the car,,??? should i sell my rx-7 for a really nice mr-2 turbo,,,hooked up,,with t-tops and leather???salvaged titles aren't kool either,,,im going to talk to the guy and put money down on the car in a little while???

check e bay for similar cars....... to get a good idea of how much you should be paying



thats a lot of money for a salvaged car

13BT for a 3SGTE? Hmm...we work closely with both vehicles and honestly, they are very similar. The power potential of the rx7 is higher though, in my opinion. The Mr2s handle very well and drive a lot like the FC rx7s. As for looks, the mr2 does have a nice body and it is a newer car then your T2. Its preference I guess. MR2 is just a beefed up celica, Rx7 is mazda's flagship. Of course this is all opinion...but I'd stick with the rx7.



BTW, insurance on the MR2 is much higher.

was the mr2 previously a turbo, from the factory? or is this an aftermarket job, that some one had done. if so, just get the 7......unless you are tired of it and then you can give it to me.....i like the potential of teh seven better, and think that you would get tired of the small, cramped, and useless interior of the mr2 before you would the rx7....

well im stayen with the 7,,,salvage title doesnt sound good,,,plus i cant turn my back on my 7 like that,,its also got a lot more power then the mr2,,but i did like the t-tops

mr2's are nice. my brother owned one, but it never kept up with the TII.
