wheres the RX-7 club???jspecracer7....
what? The rx-7 isn't the GOD of all cars. It's a bad *** track car that can be used for drag racing/drifting and a whole lot of other motorsports things. But the EVO is bad *** in itself. Shoot, it has 4 doors and can boost 1.5 on a stock block/fuel. NO rx7 I know of can do that. I can get groceries in the rain, spend $100 on a VVC and put down 300+ WHP if I had an EVO...my 7 can't do that.

I like my little motor/big power...but EVO = pretty damn good in itself.

WRX/Evo - AWD = hella cool cars for the snow that we're getting up here. Slap on a set of Blizzaks and you'll be all set.

Every car forfills it's own purpose. Only those who apperciate all of these are truely worthy of being called a car enthusiast.

they have a special edition of the EVO...i think it is called the RS, they take off the ricey wing...pull all of the sound muffling stuff, no stereo, its supposed to save a decent amount of weight.

I know in Europe they offer special Evos like the FQ300.. they advertise them at 305 horses and 300 ft/lbs so I guess they'll compete with STi's all day.. why can't we get cars like the Europeans and Japanese have? The HP war in the states is getting good but theres becoming alot of OEM rice to sort thru...

i dont think the wing on evos and stis are that untasteful. ive grown to like them, and i think the ones without them just look weird as hell.

my cuz is still shoppin and I'm trying to talk him into an evo or an sti (because I know I'll get to drive it a lot).

we looked at a brand new black sti with gold fleck in the paint. Very cool color, and with the black paint job the big wing is much less obtrusive.

what i do hate about the sti, is that particular car looks like a damn 80k race car, but it still has the blue carpet/blue inserts in the seats. Seems like they would at least offer black carpet in the black cars.

The WRX was blessed with a weak Tranny, whereas the the EVO was blessed with a weak mid-differential. The WRX can't handle boost over 19 psi whereas the EVO is happy with 22 psi on pump gas. The WRX seems to have more places to buy performance parts whereas the EVO is still new to the import community
My friend had a WRX for 4 months and had to replace the tranny. Probably trying to do 4 wheel burnouts.....what a tard

Probably because AWD cars are harder on clutches due to the fact they can't release excess energy like RWD and FWD cars can... and WRX trannies are pretty weak but thats why you just get a Dog box.. and the EVO is not new at all to the community.. 4G63 engines have been around FOREVER, parts are plentiful for that particular engine since I don't know.. the EVO I? 1G Eclipses, Talons, Lasers? that and I wouldn't doubt EVOs boost happily at 22 on pump gas considering they boost 17psi factory

I drove a '01 WRX and I was thoroughly impressed. If the new EVO is everything the press says it is, then I believe the EVO may be the new "king of the road" esp. in its new tuner-happy, club racer stripper version. It has everything a performance nut could want and more.
