but having all of that stuff doesnt make it a sleeper. just bc some cars that run 15s are riced out with all of that unecessary stuff doesnt mean that this car is a sleeper bc it looks like them

Im not sure how having a roll cage is being ricer-y tho, thats just safety and keeping the car stiff

im referring to a roll cage in a 15 second car being ricey. i consider anything that says speed on a slow car to be rice.

a roll cage doesnt nesc even say fast tho... and if your doing a 15 sec 1/4 time, your still doing ~85 - 90 mph at which point an accident will still hurt a lot. Is being prepared for worst-case scenarios ricey?

it adds weight thats not necessary. you dont need a full cage in a 15 second car.

You've crashed a car at 90 mph and it was not damaged?

Guys put roll cages in oil rig service trucks. If there's risk, there's no reason not to take precautions.

i said that you dont need a FULL cage for a 15 second car.

I can see it both ways. I've seen drag cars that have really far out paint jobs, and you can tell it's supposed to look fast. Then again, I've seen drag cars that, like this Stang, are one primary color that's not outrageous. Compared to other 2500 hp drag cars, I'd say it looks like a sleeper.

if i was in one of them electric invalid cars doing 85 mph ide feel safer if it had a roll cage. and why would a car that only does a quarter mile in 15 seconds be on a drag strip anyway my mums toyota rav 4 would probly do them kind of speeds. humph could you imagine it going over the finish line doing a measly 85 lol ide be on my second can of beer by that time. in fact the invalid in his electric car after he just did a 15 second quarter mile reaching a top speed of 90 mph would would be saying hey im sure i felt some g force in my artheritic old neck back there im glad i had this roll cage fitted. even though i doo lose a quarter of a second on my overall time.

compared with other 2500 hp cars, yes, that one is a sleeper, but in the sense that you'd think it was just another mustang out on the road if u saw it there, probably not (altho i did see a fox body, non-5.0, with a hood a little bit less outrageous than that one, earlier today).

Even if a roll cage is unnecessary, its nice to have... its as unnecessary in a 15 sec car as it is in an 8 second one, as long as you dont plan on crashing, and who does? Im just saying that **** happens, and if someone is a little over-prepared for that, i wouldnt consider it ricey... its not like some nuts bodykit on a stock car, or a $5000 paint job on a slow turd, its something that could save the drivers life
