Well a guy in a local mustang club is selling his SVO... its got some mod work done to it.. It will out handle my GT and is extremely quick for what it is..

early 84 (slapper car) SVO. It is a slapper bar car, Leather, Factory Sunroof car. Has been tuned up w/ all Ford parts including PIP, TFI, TPS, CTS. 86 cam, T-bird IC, ported E-6, New 3" dp, new factory Y pipe (exhaust not yet on) 2 almost new BFG comp ta's (95% tread) interior is in average shape (front seats were recovered) car has a slight drivability problem. High miles but has good compression (125-130 avg) Runs and drives but pops out of exhaust under boost, believe to be bad FPR. Located in St. Louis MO

Not sure what he means but his price is right the car looks decent.. needs a bit of front end paint.. its missing the classic SVO bi wing and exhaust but I am interested in it!

If you look in the background just about all you see is mustangs. This was one of our meets at a local hooters. I rolled through but in my Grandma's Eclipse so no pics of my GT are there.

I wish I had listened to the car run now that I am thinking about buying it. I will have to meet him up he lives about 20-25 minutes away....

Cool, the SVO's are cool cars.

That mustang in the background runs low 10's....

Fast as hell but most people think it is just a mustang with hood wheels and exhaust... Z06 already made that mistake! made it infront of all of us trying to be a toughshit! Rolled up through a mustang meet kind of just rolled by each car then gave a bit of a rev and parked down by the hardware store. Then he smoked them some and came to stop and parked so that guy went down there and said some kind of rough **** to the guy in the corvette. Guy in corvette gives superior attitude... guy in corvette races guy in what he thinks is a mustang with just looks and sound. Guy in corvette is made looking like his car is as fast asa geo metro. Guy in corvette tucks his tail between his legs and never shows his face for the rest of the meet.... awww that sucks.... was funny though.... trying to roll up in a mustang meet with a brand new Z06 thinking your the **** and get shutdown by an 88 Mustang! :lachuh: :teufel: :bigok:

SVO with no bi-wing? What happened to it? Sagged too much and he took it off?

nice. i didnt know them cars came boosted back then. and its probably all the rotaries fault, with their little 12A flying by the domestics.

anyway, sounds like a great car, not too old not too new and a whole lot of whoop ***.

dont be surprised if i rolled up to an rx7 meet in a camaro or firebird. i was at a friends place and he had a few. i thought they looked nice and room for 4.

Ok here is what he told me about the car

I am still interested but a bit cautious now about the car....

but 1400 is pretty cheap.... Just someone did nto take care of this car. I will want to run it by one of the mechanics at my work before purchasing this car.

"Get ready cause this is a book. It is Med Canyon Red

(2A), factory sunroof, leather, PW, PL. It is an

Early car (late 83 build date) and has the Slapper

bars. The previous owner hit a deer with it on the

front drivers side corner. It did no structural

damage just cosmetic. The nose is fine (minus the

header panel) the fender was replaced w/a used one (it

matches the car) but the top edge of the door under

the mirror but above the belt moulding and from the

front edge back about 10" was mangled, then a car

backed in to it in the same spot in a parking lot

(have a clean Jalpeno Red door going w/ the car). It

has the typical rust on the bottom of the doors and

hatch and verry minimal rust on the roof (typical on

sunroof cars) the sunroof does not leak. The car

drives nice but it does need a steering rack (leaks

but still has power steering). It is missing the top

wing (didn't have it when I got it). The interior is

average. The front seats were recovered at one time

but the drivers side bolster on the back rest is worn

(where your butt hits getting in) The vinyl headliner

is falling but doesn't hit your head thanks to the

sunroof. It has no radio, a few cracks in the

dashpad, nice door panels, 6x9's in the quarter panels

by back seat (have a nice grey set to go w/ car), A/C

works but is low on Freon (haven't checked for leaks).

I have put about 700 miles on the car since I bought

it and it has never left me stranded. The car starts

right up, shifts good, the E-brake works, makes full

boost, has good oil pressure, doesn't overheat but

does have a manual override just in case. The car

does have a drivability problem though, It pops under

boost and loses a cylinder at WOT, 80% of the time. I

bought the car in worse running shape (had a burnt

valve, collapsed VAM to turbo hose wrong firing order)

and am just to busy to finish it. The car has a TON

of new FORD parts including TFI, PIP, CTS, TPS, Plugs,

Wires, Cap, Rotor, PCV, Fuel filter, air filter. The

car has high miles but has good compression (125-130

avg) I got the car about 5 months ago w/ the intent to

just drive it while I restore my 86 SVO (2A leather

car) I have no time right now for either and only have

storage room for one. I will finish the Exhaust before

sale (3"dp in to stock Y, straight to Stock Stainless

Talipipes. I am located in ST. Louis and want $1400

firm for it, and would prefer it to go to somebody who

knows what it is. I can get pics but will take a few

days"

Some of this is a problem but not all of it...

The headliner not a problem I got dealer connections.

Steering rack could be a problem but not sure.. Would probably end up replacing it with a Flaming River rack.

The cylinder part still has me wondering what do you guys think about this? I know a fair amount about cars but this kind of makes me go HUH? ??? So what do you guys think about this car now? the interior is not much of a concern because I was going to update it with an 91 interior anyway (already got the guy waiting on that part) Just curious as to what you guys think. Not a rotary but not your everyday V8 Mustang either. But with his mods and with it running in top shape which hopefully I can get it in it will out run 5.0's. I am meeting him up thursday night to take a look at this SVO. I will be selling my GT to buy this car. My sister says she can get me 2 grand for my car so I might let her buy it off of me. But I really want to sell it to someone who will enjoy it and treat it the way it needs to be treated!

So what do you guys think?

new parts:Has been tuned up w/ all Ford parts including PIP, TFI, TPS, CTS,New 3" dp, new factory Y pipe (exhaust not yet on) 2 almost new BFG comp ta's (95% tread)

Needs: Dash,Steering rack, header panel, paint touch up or whole paint job,Bi wing spoiler... maybe a bit more...

the guy I dont believe is going to put mufflers on this car though!!!!!

That will be way too loud so I will have to see on that one!

Also I am kind of curious as to what kind of power this car pushes... it says 190 stock. But it has a Tbird intercooler and an 86 cam and a ported E6 Exhaust manifold.

Also I just talked to the guy a bit more online he is interested in my GT ... lol that could save some time and effort! lol

We are meeting up thursday after 6 so wish me luck on this one guys....

Well drove it...

THAT CAR HAS SOME ******* *****!!!!

It is running 19lbs of boost

and once this car hits 3000 Rpm's man it is all over!!!

She needs some bodywork...

Interior is nice though....

He has a spare door for her..

She needs a new hatch for the rear and she is missing some body cladding.... not a big deal.. she has a bit of rust on her but I am not really concerned... I would be painting that anyway...

He is willing to take my car off me and give me his + CASH!

The car runs like a bat out of hell!!

I believe it to be quicker than my 5.0!
